South Korea, officially known as the Republic of Korea. is a country located on the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, bordered by North Korea. Its capital is Seoul and the nation contains many administrative divisions and provinces. Like many democratic states, South Korea's government has an executive, legislative, and judicial branch. The supreme law of South Korea is the Constitution of the Republic of Korea. South Korea is a constitutional democracy and its executive branch is headed by the President of South Korea and the Prime Minister of South Korea. It is split by the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
